A new 11-story, 135-foot building at Presbyterian Hospital is expected to reduce wait times and improve the experience at the hospital for patients and families,
the Albuquerque Journal reported.
"You'll see a lot of changes that will make the stay more pleasant for families, and more curative for patients," Clay Holderman, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Presbyterian, told the Journal.
The project is intended to meet growing patient demand, as Presbyterian anticipates the number of in-patient hospital visits to increase by 15% over the next 10 years.
The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
